Joseph A. Dengel is the founder and CEO and provides the intellectual energy that drives the company’s unique approach to golf industry analysis and solution development. He has been conducting golf course valuations for over 30 years and commercial real estate analysis for nearly 40 years. In the course of these valuation/consulting assignments, Mr. Dengel has personally inspected over 500 golf courses and has interviewed countless golf course owners, developers, club managers and golf professionals. These well-established, interpersonal relationships have enabled Mr. Dengel, and his associate, to conduct over 40 golf course transactions throughout Texas and the Midwest over the past 15 years. The vast majority of these real estate closings have been conducted “off-market” in order to limit business interruption and to protect the confidential nature of the participants and the financial/operational aspects of the transaction.

Joseph Dengel earned his Bachelors Degree in finance and real estate from Southern Methodist University (SMU) and is a distinguished member of the Appraisal Institute, having been awarded the prestigious MAI designation from that organization. Mr. Dengel is also a Professional Member of the National Golf Foundation, an Associate Member of the National Golf Course Owners Association and an Associate Member of the United States Golf Association. Mr. Dengel also proudly serves as a Director of the Southern Golf Association.

As a basis for his continuously evolving golf transactional activity, Mr. Dengel has provided consulting services on a wide variety of golf course developments throughout the United States. Those services have been used in obtaining mortgage loans, in making corporate management decisions, and in property tax determinations. Consulting assignments have included golf course market studies, feasibility analyses, cost-benefit studies, management consulting, marketing assistance, and financial due diligence for golf course owners, investors, lenders and taxing entities.
